FREE TRIAL - You can download and use a fully functional copy of Sapphire Plug-ins. After a 3-week trial period, the plug-ins will output a watermark unless you purchase and enter a serial number. If your machine is already licensed for Sapphire v2 for After Effects and compatible products, this version should just automatically share that license when installed.

The installer below is for use with all FxPlug compatible products including Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express and Motion. Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5 Leopard are supported. For After Effects, Premiere Pro or Combustion, please use the AE version instead.

To Download and install:

1. Make sure you have Mac OS X 10.4 or greater (either Intel or PPC) and one or more of the following FxPlug compatible products:

   Final Cut Pro	6.0 or greater
   Final Cut Express	4.0 or greater
   Motion	3.0.2 or greater

   
   If you have an older version of Sapphire for FxPlug products, this installation will replace it and you do not need to un-install it first.

2. Quit Final Cut or Motion if they are running.

3. Download the 2.01 Mac installer (11 Mb).
   This includes Universal binaries for PPC or Mac Intel hardware.

4. Run the installer, and follow the instructions given.

5. Restart Final Cut or Motion, and the new plug-ins should appear in your effects menu.

If you already have the After Effects version of Sapphire Plug-ins, this installer will not replace it, and you can continue using both in FCP side by side. The effect category names will include "(FxPlug)" for the FxPlug version, so you can identify which is which when selecting a plug-in.

To view on-line documentation after you install the software, go to the /Applications/GenArtsSapphireFxPlug folder and double click on Online Help.html or Online Help.pdf. You can also click on the "About" box while using any plug-in.

1. A problem on FCP is fixed with incorrect colors when rendering using the YUV high-precision sequence setting.
