What maximum color depth do your plug-ins support?
For Flint and Smoke SD/HD on Linux Monsters plug-ins support up to 8-bit color depth. For all other products up to 12-bit color depth is supported.
Are all the Monsters plug-ins available for Burn?
The great majority of Monsters plug-ins are available for Burn – the following are not available for technical reasons: Edger, Stepper, Morpheus, Trailpath, Trailkey, Countdown2, Genetex, QuickTime, the hardware rendered page turns in Box 13.
Does Monsters support Combustion?
Monsters plug-ins are not available for Combustion.
What is my System ID (SysID)?
The System ID uniquely identifies a particular computer. On Irix platforms this is the sysinfo, which can be found by opening a shell window and typing: sysinfo On Linux platforms this is the MAC address of the eth0 ethernet adaptor of your machine. This can be found by opening a shell window and typing: /sbin/ifconfig eth0. The sysID is the HWaddr: xx:yy:zz:aa:bb part of the output.
How do I install my license?
Your Monsters license file will usually be supplied by e-mail and has a .lic extension. Do not edit this file in any way, you just need to copy it to the SpeedSix license folder. On Windows platforms this can be found at: C:\Program Files\SpeedSix\Licenses On Unix platforms this can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses.
Where can I find my Monsters license file?
On Windows platforms the Monsters license file can be found at: C:\Program Files\SpeedSix\Licenses. On Unix platforms it can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses
How do I know when my temporary license expires?
To read the file, open a suitable text editor (such as Wordpad on Windows platforms) and open the file from within the text editor. The license expiry date is noted in the file.
Are floating licenses available for Monsters?
We only provide floating licenses for Burn. Monsters plug-ins for interactive workstations are node-locked to the individual workstation.
Can I transfer my license?
License transfers are done on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support [at] genarts [dot] com
What host product and operating system versions are supported?
Flame 9.5 on Linux RHEL3 (64-bit) and IRIX (32/64-bit); Flame 9.0 - 9.4 on Linux (32/64-bit) and IRIX (32/64-bit); Flint 9.0 - 9.5 on Linux RHEL3 (32-bit) and IRIX (32/64-bit); Inferno 6.0 - 6.5 on Linux (32/64-bit) and IRIX (32/64-bit); Smoke 7.0 on Linux RHEL3 (32-bit) and IRIX (32/64-bit); Smoke 6.5 - 6.9 on Linux (32-bit) and IRIX (32/64-bit).
