What maximum color depth do your plug-ins support?

Monsters plug-ins process internally at 15 bit colour depth. Color information at a higher bit depth is truncated to 15 bits during processing.

I've loaded my Monsters and I can`t see any plug-ins.

Occasionally the plug-in registration is out of sync with the presets. This can
usually be corrected by running the script in: Avid DS V8: c:\programfiles\Avid\ds_v8.0\CmdRegS6.bat Avid DS V7.X: c:\programfiles\Avid\ds_v7.x\regplugins6.bat

What is my System ID (SysID)?

The System ID uniquely identifies a particular computer. On Avid DS V7 and earlier this is the Dongle ID which is the number printed on your dongle (usually in the form 8-XXXXXXXXXXXX). It can also be found by going to Help > About Avid DS in Avid DS. On Avid DS V8 and for all Avid DS RP licences SysID is the MAC address of the ethernet adaptor. To find this do to Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt. In the window type: ipconfig/all. The ethernet adapter physical address will be given in the form xx:yy:zz:aa:bb. If SpeedSix plug-ins are already installed you can also go to Start>Programs>SpeedSix>License ID to display the MAC address.

How do I install my license?

Your Monsters licence file will usually be supplied by email and has a .lic extension. Do not edit this file in any way, you just need to copy it to the SpeedSix license folder. On Windows platforms this can be found at: C:\ProgramFiles\SpeedSix\Licenses On Unix platforms this can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses

Where can I find my Monsters License File?

On Windows platforms the Monsters license file can be found at: C:\Program
Files\SpeedSix\Licenses On Unix platforms it can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses

How do I know when my temporary license expires?

To read the file open a suitable text editor (such as Wordpad on Windows platforms) and open the file from within the text editor. The license expiry date is noted in the file.

Are floating licenses available for Monsters?

All Monsters licenses for this platform are node locked to the individual computer - floating licenses are not available.

Can I transfer my license?

Do you support 64 bit software?

64 bit versions of Monsters V8 for Avid DS V8 are available for download. If you are running Monsters V7.5 or earlier you will have to upgrade to Monsters V8 to use the 64 bit software.

Does Monsters support Avid products other than Avid DS?

Monsters plug-ins for Avid DS use the Avid DS plug-in interface so are not compatible with other Avid products. Currently Raptors does not provide AVX plug-ins.
