What maximum color depth do your plug-ins support?
Monsters plug-ins process internally at 15-bit color depth. Color information at a higher bit depth is truncated to 15 bits during processing.
The System ID uniquely identifies a particular computer. On Fusion V4, this is the first 8 digits of the 12-digit Fusion serial number. This can be found by going to the "About Digital Fusion" box – it is the number below the build date. On Fusion 5 the System ID is the MAC address of the ethernet adapter.
To find this, go to: Start->Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt. In the window type: ipconfig/all
The ethernet adapter physical address will be given in the form: xx:yy:zz:aa:bb.
If Monsters plug-ins are already installed, you can also go to: Start->Programs->SpeedSix->License ID to display the MAC address.
How do I install my license?
Your Monsters license file will usually be supplied by e-mail and has a .lic extension. Do not edit this file in any way, you just need to copy it to the Monsters license folder. On Windows platforms, this can be found at: C:\ProgramFiles\SpeedSix\Licenses On Unix platforms this can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses.
Where can I find my Monsters license file?
On Windows platforms, the Monsters license file can be found at: C:\ProgramFiles\SpeedSix\Licenses. On Unix platforms it can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses
How do I know when my temporary license expires?
To read the file open a suitable text editor (such as Wordpad on Windows platforms) and open the file from within the text editor. The license expiry date is noted in the file.
Are floating licenses available for Monsters?
Floating licenses can be supplied for Fusion render nodes. Floating licenses for interactive Fusion workstations can only be supplied with a GenArts Site License. (Contact GenArts or your GenArts reseller for details of the GenArts Site License plan.)
Can I transfer my license?
License transfers are done on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support [at] genarts [dot] com
What host product and operating system versions are supported?
Fusion 5.0 - 6.0 on Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit).
I’ve upgraded to Monsters v5 for Fusion 5 and I can't find box 4.
For technical reasons, Monsters Box 4 (Morpheus) is not available on Fusion 5.
I've upgraded to Windows 7 and my license does not work.
Windows 7 keeps separate setting and variable information for each user. Fusion runs as Administrator and the SpeedSix License Manager must be run as Administrator. To do this:
- Right-click over Start->Programs->SpeedSix->LIcense Admin.
- Select Run as Administrator.
- Check your license now with Check Local Licenses for example.
- Do not forget to turn off Use Dongle if necessary.
- Exit and run Fusion.
- Load a plug in. The watermarks should have disappeared.
