What maximum color depth do your plug-ins support?
Monsters plug-ins process internally at 15-bit color depth. Color information at a higher bit depth is truncated to 15 bits during processing.
I’ve upgraded to Quantel V3.6 and my plug-ins don't work.
In Quantel V3.6 the plug in API has changed so you will need to use the Monsters plug-ins for Quantel V3.6. Your Monsters V5 licenses will still be valid for the new software.
Why can't I see all the plug-ins in my plug-ins list?
In Generation Q some Monsters plug-ins are categorized as Qeffects and some as Qutilities – remember to look in both locations.
What is my System ID (SysID)?
The System ID uniquely identifies the computer's MAC address (ethernet ID). To find this, go to: Start->Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt. In the window type: ipconfig/all The ethernet adapter's physical address will be given in the form xx:yy:zz:aa:bb. If Monsters plug-ins are already installed, you can also go to Start->Programs->SpeedSix->License ID to display the MAC address.
How do I install my license?
Your Monsters license file will usually be supplied by e-mail and has a .lic extension. Do not edit this file in any way, you just need to copy it to the Monsters license folder. On Windows platforms, this can be found at: C:\ProgramFiles\SpeedSix\Licenses. On Unix platforms this can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses.
Where can I find my Monsters license file?
On Windows platforms the Monsters license file can be found at: C:\Program Files\SpeedSix\Licenses On Unix platforms it can be found at: /usr/local/SpeedSix/Licenses
How do I know when my temporary license expires?
To read the file, open a suitable text editor (such as Wordpad on Windows platforms) and open the file from within the text editor. The license expiry date is noted in the file.
Are floating licenses available for Monsters?
All Monsters licenses are node-locked to the individual computer – floating licenses are not available.
Can I transfer my license?
License transfers are done on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support [at] genarts [dot] com
What host product and operating system versions are supported?
Generation Q 3.6 - 4.2.
The Quantel plug in API was updated for Generation Q V3.6. So, you must use the plug-ins with 3.6 (or higher) in the installer name for this version.
