How do I transfer my license?
To transfer your serial number to a new machine, first uninstall Tinder plug-ins from your old machine. During the uninstall, select the option to register that uninstall via the web. As long as the uninstall is successfully registered, you should then be able to install your serial number on the new machine. The license is cross-platform so you can transfer a serial number between Windows and Mac systems in this way. If you own a floating license or if uninstalling is not possible, please click here to request a license transfer.
How can I un-install Tinder plug-ins?
1. cd /usr/genarts/tinder-spark/
2. ./uninstall.sh
My license doesn't work. A watermark appears.
- Make sure you have run the Tinder plug-ins installer on your workstation instead of just copying the files or imaging the disk.
- Check the shell where you started the Autodesk application and see if any useful information is printed there when you load a plug-in.
- Make sure you are not running an old beta version of the software, which may have timed out.
- Make sure the date on your computer is correct.
- Make sure a different spark is loaded after the license is installed. They only re-read the key when they are first loaded or after the Autodesk application is restarted.
- If the Ethernet address of your computer has changed since you ran the installer, you can get this watermark. Try reinstalling Tinder plug-ins and reentering your serial number and see if that helps.
What host product and operating system versions are supported?
Flame 8.5 - 9.5, Flint 8.5 - 9.0, Flare, Fire, Inferno, Smoke and Burn 8.5 or greater.
Can I transfer my license to another machine?
You can request a transfer of a license serial number from one machine to another by contacting support [at] genarts [dot] com. However, you cannot transfer any of our products to a different host system. For example, you cannot transfer Tinder on Autodesk to Tinder on Avid DS.
Where can I find the Tinder plug-ins folder?
As of Tinder 5.4v3, the Tinder plug-ins folder is in /usr/discreet/sparks/Tinder5. Any older versions of the Tinder plug-ins will be symbolically linked to this folder when you upgrade to 5.4v3.
